ESCAPE TO NICE

Take me back to the South of France! I can’t believe that the week-end is already over. There’s still lots to discover and to do in Nice, but I’ll definitely go back. One cannot properly explore and enjoy Nice and the rest of the French Riviera in 2 days isn’t it? Holidays are the perfect time for this. So we decided to start with Nice, the capital of the French Riviera and the fifth largest city in France.
Nice is a beautiful, very charming and elegant city whose exceptional climate and beauty attract people from all over the world. It probably feels good to live and work in such an amazing environment. We were there for the week-end and I was already in love with Nice and its stunning scenery.
The only way to get to know the real Nice is by strolling through the ochre colored streets and its vibrant markets, socializing with the Nicois while enjoying its diverse restaurants and their well renowned food. Cafes terraces are filled with people happily drinking and contemplating the famous Promenade des Anglais on one side and on the other admiring one of the most luxurious hotels in the city, The Negresco. It’s not Summer yet, but the beaches are already full with many tourists and locals just lying on the sand and enjoying the little sun we had that day. The water was still cold though, reason why I didn’t wear any bikini on the beach, but I can’t wait for Summer to go back and have lots of fun with my friends.
We stopped at LAC Chocolatier for some yummy treats. They have the best macarons and chocolate fondant I ever ate. It is difficult to resist to those delicious desserts and it’s definitely a place you should go too on your next trip to Nice.
Evenings on the Riviera, a.k.a. la Côte d’Azur were made for a promenade and outdoor dining, so we had dinner at Bay Star Cafe. We loved the food, the wine, the nice atmosphere of the restaurant and the amazing view of the beach.
On the last day, on our way back, we met some other friends for lunch at Les Bastides, in Aix-en-Provence. It is also a very good restaurant, the quality of the service is top and the view is breathtaking. They got a 5 stars review as we were all happy at the end.
The French Riviera is really beautiful and I can’t wait to go back and explore other cities like Cannes, Monaco, Saint-Tropez and have more fun. Have you also been there and want to share your experiences with us? Comment below or just drop me an email and I’ll gladly respond to you asap.
